Now i dont read papers, they give me headache i watch tv but i do find the news really sux here in australia & so does the media,I listen to the radio for music and my boyfriend reads the paper everyday,he gets excited reading something that he finds in interest, but you will never hear it on the news!! Why is this? So does the news content in a paper match the news headlines & reports on the same day?Worldwide? I know in a paper you will read more stories than the news will give, so i geuss im asking whats people's preference the paper or tv !!

The first part of your question is very simple to answer: WHY are their stories you read in a newspaper that never make it to the television. The amount of time for a newscast is limited, especiall considering they incorporate sports and entertainment stuff. So the TV editors will decide which of the many stories "out there" will make air. Which are most compelling or even which one they have the best video (or audio) of. A newspaper has a whole lot more ability to report a larger number of stories and to elaborate on them. It's why if you really are interested in news you do well to go on ahead and watch the news and then pick up a reputable newspaper and read the stories so you can fill in the details.

I read the news in 2 different papers and a weekly news magazine....and when I do watch the news I never watch the same station all the time.

The more varied the sources the better.
