I finished a new book last week that knocked me out. It's called Red Bird Just Like This. It's an autobiographical novel about a guy that was an original wild child. His father murdered a man when the author was 3 years old. He wrote a letter to Eisenhower when he was 5 0r 6---threatening him. The FBI investigated him. He hung with a band of gypsies when he was 4 or 5 and stole horses from a circus. He claims he can understand what whales talk about. It's funny, scary, sad, and hopeful.

Most expensive book I've ever bought was The Audrey Hepburn Treasures with her biography and really life-like excerpts like playbills and letters that are spread throughout the book. Very interesting too, but I haven't quite finished it yet.

The most interesting book I've ever read has yet to be discovered. I've read many that I find fascinating, but choosing between them is something I cant bring myself to do.
The most expensive book I've ever purchased is my signed first edition and other such fabulous jazz of Neil Gaiman's Stardust. Also holding that title is my Latin Dictionary from 1835.

I'm a whiz at finding books that may cost like $32 and finding it elsewhere for cheaper. =D
Interesting book I'd have to say would be Bettany Hughe's "Helen of Troy" she addresses theories and what not of what Helen truly was and if she really existed.
Another would be "Les Miserable" by Victor Hugo
God, there so many more books I could mention...but I'll halt di klapper for now.

The most expensive one had to be a college textbook for almost $200. And I remember it was NOT worth it. Ironically, I can't recall which class it was for. Haha!
The most interesting lately has been Shantaram.

i have so many authors that interest me and i cannot pin it down to one..
but the one book (or 2) that are standing out for me as they are written in a totally different style and do not conform to the usual principle of writing.. have to be:
a million pieces - james frey
my friend leonard - james frey
not expensive and muddled origins but both are very captivating read
