Yes, you can. I can give two examples.
1. The birth of a child. You have the obvious physical pain, yet utter joy at hearing the cry of your baby.
2. A personal experience. Just after my dad died, my sister came home from the bank to tell me that her car had been paid off by insurance.
I immediately began to cheer for her because she would be free of a debt that way really weighing her down. Suddenly, it hit me as to just WHY that debt had been paid off.
It was like I re-realized that my Dad was dead. So, I went from being all smiles and happiness and laughter to being in tears, instantly.

Pure Joy and Deep Pain have an etheric connection. Both connect you to spirit. You may feel them close together but not exactly at the same time/space....like the example of childbirth, the sensation will divert to the momentary focus of attention......

I experienced it when i first had a direct spiritual experience. It was like the doors opened and i felt all emotions at the same time. There was also a kind of peace that went beyond the ordinary emotions and made able to handle it... But it was still quite traumatic. I don't really want to experience all of that again soon.

Yes it happens in acting...good actors know! When you have to play something painfull, although your heart is breaking there is a strange feeling inside you, a feeling of joy one cannot explain! But it only happens in really good acting...not in Hollywood for example! As for child birth...things do not happen quie simultaneously! Actually I think there is chance for this to happen only in theatre acting...good one...not Broadway!

When the wrong person leaves your life and ends the relationship, it can be like the kind cruelty of a surgeon's knife.
