The best and the cheapest way will be to use bank transfer facility of any Pakistani Bank in UK.

I think in UK certain banks of Pakistan origin like National Bank of Pakistan, Habib Bank Limited, Allied Bank Limited and MCB bank Limited have branches.

British banks are expensive but you can do transfers easily enough. In addition to the transfer charge, you money will 'vanish' for a few days while its being transferred.

Which means at any point in time the banks are sitting on millions of 'moving money'.

Western Union is quick but not cheap. Make the transfer and your people can pick up the cash immediatly.

Generally, the larger the amount, the less expensive it becomes.

If you have your own account in Pakistan with a branch in Londeon then just keep the minimum amount in that account and let your people on the other end have some drawing cheques.

England is wealthier than Pakistan. People send money back to their families. Look at it this way - if they can afford to send money back, they are probably working. You will find a similar stream going from the UK to Nigeria, Ireland, Australia, South Africa, India etc. The Bombers who were arrested the other day (many of whom were UK born) were caught with the assistance of Pakistani state security, so I wouldn't be closing those phonelines down just yet.

I think you must have a bank account in Pakistan, where you will send the money. Just go to a bank offering remittance services in London then just remit the money to your bank account in Pakistan, if you dont have any bank account in Pakistan, remit to the bank account of your trusted relatives.
