I have a Logitech Z560 THX Certified 4.1 Speaker System for my pc. The speckers sound fine until I touch the controls... then I get loud static, which comes and goes. Is this in my control ? Is there a way to fix this? If it was the speakers wouldn't it have static all the time

Sounds like there is no grounding on the Speakers, or you are generating some static charge with the type of shoes you have, and maybe on the carpet nearby

it sounds like a faulty volume control in your speaker, if it was the pc it would do it all the time

It sounds like the knob is screwed up if it only does it when you touch it.

You can find cleaner/lubricants at radio shack or other electronics supplies - if you can find it try 'de-ox'.

I go with D McC and Superfunk. It could also be a faulty wire.
