I would choose someone from the site that I am sending you. A number of these people are very famous yet they have one or more disabilities. The site is at
http://www.ability.org.uk/Famous%20People%20with%20Disabilities.html

I hope that he finds someone that he is interested in writing to from this list. This is certainly a great group of people! Have a great day.

Basically, places like MySpace and Facebook might be a good place to have a look if you have time to sift around through it.
Also, try contacting someone at one of the local colleges, they can point you to some great people in the community who aren't necessarily famous but have great stories about how staying school and following their dreams have led to some great insights, adventures, and personal and professional successes. I'm sure a few of the alumni don't mind being contacted and some of them might even be willing to come to your son's class and give a short talk. Some of those alumni also volunteer as Big Brothers and Sisters or participate in other outreach programs.

Well if you're not much of a talker it could be hard to get an open line going between the two of you. I would suggest setting aside a time of day that the two of you can sit down at the table and talk without a TV or something on for a distraction. It isn't important what you talk about just establishing a dialog will help get things going. Good luck Frosty! :)
