Paphos is always the best part.
Average daily temperature would be about 22C (72F) and night 12C (54F).
The city tends to be very busy during the Summer but in March I believe it's just ideal.
From there, you can easily visit Latsi and Coral Bay who are also quite nice areas (but I would say maybe a bit boring if you plan to stay there for a week or so). You can also visit Limassol as it's only 40 minutes away by car.
If you fly to Paphos airport it costs about £20CYP to get to the town.
There are many tourist attractions and you can access most of them by foot or bus if you stay in Kato Paphos (that's where the tourist resorts are)..

Now, it's not only that I come from Paphos, but, Nicosia in general does not have many tourist attractions and is far away from the beach. Limassol is not bad, but is not as relaxing, and you can easily go there for a day if you want. Ayia Napa and Protaras are usually completely empty at any other time of the year besides Summer and If you are there for any other reason than going out you will not find it as enjoyable.

For vacations in the quiet holiday period like March, Paphos is ideal; it has to offer intersting sites and a lot of one day excursions very nearby.
If you want to explore more of Cyprus, Limassol is a good home; from where you can easily reach all interesting sites in the Greek part of Cyprus by rental car. Do not forget to explore the Trodos mountains.
Nicosia is a special destination; it is so lively Greek, that looking to the Northern part of it, the 'demarcation' line hurts for so many reasons..
Go Paphos and enjoy its authenticity.. enjoy Cyprus.

Paphos is nice but don't have nice beaches. For swimming try Ayia Napa.
I advice you not to fly through northen part of Cyprus because you are consider as an illegal visitor and you might me in trouble. Use Larnaka or Paphos airport.

I think most of Cyprus will still be good in March weather wise but am not sure if all places will be open as it could be classed as out of season. I went to Coral Bay in late September/early October last year. Had a wonderful time and would highly recommend it. You could look at www.tripadvisor.co.uk (or it might be .com) for good, honest advice on areas and specific hotels.

Ayia Napa is the best.
In March you may get some rainy days though.

Kyrenia or now known as Girne,Northern Cyprus. The weather will have started to warm up with many sunny days and possibly the odd shower but its still warm. The north is comparatively uncommercial, hotels are inexpensive but of a good standard and plenty of good places to eat. Can't wait to get there this February.
