i lately found some good description about how to imagine dimensions .. checkout this

http://www.tenthdimension.com/flash2.php

now it came to my mind.. could momentum be the result of a kind of restriction to move freely in a higher dimension ?

Any input on this welcome..
as usual i think about this question as a testbed to get alternate ideas on things .. hopefully its not too esoteric ;)
thank you

Ur way of approaching the subject of multiple dimensions is marvellous.Keep it up.There are so answers to question depending upon the theories(string theory,M- theory). As par as my knowledge it is kind of restriction to an extent.I can explain to U clearly. But it is too long.If U are highly intrested in that question U send an email to newton_maxplanck@yahoo.com to get the explanation file.U'll certainly satisfy with that explanation.B'coz it is the mathematical formulation which is interduced recently.

If by momentum you mean energy-momentum conservation, that arises from the homogeneity of ordinary 4-dimensional space-time (i.e. the fact that its properties are the same at every point, absent gravity.)

Depends on the mathematical formulation.
