There's a really excellent "coffee table" sort of book that I'm meaning to buy eventually which is a fantastic compendium of angels and what they all do. It pulls from all over, and does have a good bit about warfare in it.

The original movie "Prophecy" (w/Eric Stoltz & Christopher Walken) is an interesting take on this legend. I love the image of Angel-as-Warrior... so often they're dismissed as little cherubs :-)
