Unfortunately this is a problem being experienced in Australia also and many other industrial countries, the wage is cheaper and that is the bottom line, we have had jobs taken out from under us in call centres, factories and today the Blundstone boot manufacture company is laying off 300 hundred workers so they can outsource the work to an Asian country. It almost borders on slave wages and the conditions are appalling that these people are made to work under, it's work or starve and this is part of governmental/big industry agenda to push down our wages as well in the long run. Log on to www.workchoice.com.au and you'll get an idea of what I'm raving on about.
My question is what are the workers prepared to do about it en mass?

Because its a money thing. Instead of putting a call center in the US they are cheap and have the people that work there make low wages. I feel that some companies could care less about America and take jobs that could help an American but the company is too cheap to pay a fair wage and sends to India for a very low wage.

Labor cost in very high in the US. Not just banks that outsource there work, big corporations and even the government outsource customer service elsewhere. If I own a big corporation, I would do the same thing. Yes, I do find it very annoying, but, you have to deal with it if you want to do business these company.

they do it to save money. they are a business plain and simple. 1 american dollar is = to 43 rupees and a middle class person in India makes between 50 to 100 American dollars a month. They don't have to pay taxes or for workmens comp, or health insurance, sick leave, vacation or holidays, or time and half for over time. The people in India make a huge come up and the bank saves thousands of dollars if not millions of dollars

No ... it has reduced your banking cost and increased share holders profit.
I don't know that you know or not but Bank of America, Citibank, HSBC etc. also outsourced their call centers.
