You would do better with an ad in the paper or post notices on local billboards. A used furniture dealer is okay, too, if you can accept what they want to give you!
What about the people who are moving in where you are leaving from? Offer it to them, no moving involved and they might not have anything as nice and want it.
Good Luck!

How awful for you to have your expectations so horribly dashed, old chap! Now, your let-down at the lack of a deceased leader in your bedroom furniture may be appeased by demanding that Jenkins assassinate that oaf Brown and dump his porky carcass in your tallboy. Then he could add to the realism by mumbling some unintelligable drivel about taxes and bank bailouts, whilst announcing a ban on smoking in your wardrobes. Such a plan would relieve you (and us) of your disappointment. Toodle pip.

I usually send my stuff to a local estate auctioneer. Then I attend the auction and buy some other stuff.
My sister bought two Victorian style beds from this particular auctioneer. I bought several china cabinets for my antiques.

Check it up in the "Yellow Pages" for 2nd hand goods dealing or put up an advertisement in the "Strait Times" like garage sale.
