I agree.I'm a charger fan and I thought it was dumb of him to confront guys at the end of the game. The game was played, his team lost and he needs to be a man about it.

There's a difference between doing it on the field and then running out to do it on the other teams logo. Doing a dance on the other teams logo is a sign of hardcore disrespect. I remember a preseason game between the Titans and the Rams the year after the Rams won the super bowl some of the Rams players stomped on the Titans fireball logo and wound up totally p*****g off the Titans defense and almost started a fight.
Doing a victory dance is okay but disrespecting a team by dancing on the logo or in anyway disrespecting the logo is way beyond unsportsmanlike conduct.
I kind of agree with the concept some of the classy coaches in the league like Jeff Fisher has "When you make a touchdown it's better to not be too celebratory and just make it look like it's no big deal because you've been there before."

Look, I played college football, and I can tell you, if the opposing team did what the Pats did after any game in college football there'd be a riot. When the game is over, it's over. Stomping on someone else's home field is the most disrespectful thing you can do, add on to that the fact that they were specifically mocking one of your teammates, I wouldn't have been restrained as easily. L.T. was not acting like a *****, he just wasn't going to allow them to disrespect his team, he should be applauded. The Pats deserve the criticism, not L.T. There are some things that you just don't do ever in football, the Pats know this as well as I do, and they did it anyway, they are the little b!tches.

I don't agree with what L.T. did, but it is easy to understand why he was being a whiner. You have to consider the great season that he had, and how he carried the Chargers on his back throughout the whole year. After his amazing season in which he destroyed the NFL record for points and led the league in rushing yards, and still isn't able to get his team to win one playoff game, it is certainly easy to understand his frustation. Also, L.T. himself doesn't do any touchdown dances or celebrations to speak of, and doesn't do celebrations that will disrespect the opponenet. L.T. felt like the Patriots were being disrespectful of him and his team, and that enraged him. What L.T. did was undoubtedly incorrect, but you can at least understand why he acted like that.

The best way to keep a guy from celebrating on yer home field is to win the game.
The Chargers lost, they don't get to dance (at least not without looking silly).
Having said that, yeah .. it was a little disrespectful to do it on the Chargers logo, but I'd just be using that for fuel to beat those guys @s$e$ next time around.
It's like the old backyard football credo - "Suckers walk". Meaning, you get scored against, you gotta walk to the far end of the field for the ensuing kickoff. In this case, you lose the game, no dancing, just shame.

Well one reason he knew that the Chargers were a better team and somehow they still managed to blow the lead in the 4th Quarter. Let's see numerous missed interceptions and missed touchdowns. Somehow though the Patriots still won with all of their mistakes too. I thought it was the worst game of the divisional playoffs. It was just dumb to see a good team like the chargers lose like they did. I guess LT was mad cause Patriots were the ones doing the dance not the Chargers!

There's a fine line when it comes to taunting the other team and mocking Merriman's dance IS disrespectful. Merriman dances whenever he gets a sack, not because he's doing it to spite the QB, but because he's celebrating having completed a big play, which is something every player does. But when you're doing Merriman's dance just to mock the other team after beating them? Tell me how much class is in that? How would you like it if someone you went up against did a move that belonged to you in an attempt to show that they just beat you and they're better than you? It's one thing to celebrate a win by doing your own thing, but it's crossing the line when you have to mock the other team just because you can.

I suppose he's acting that way because his dream and goal for the season was crushed. I don't condone it, but I can understand it as well. Truth be told, most pro athletes are overpaid, over-idolized, spoiled rotten babies anyway. I love football like most guys, but pro sports in general (players, teams, coaches, owners, managers, fans, and their cities) have gotten really ridiculous in America. When people begin to plan their whole lives around a game to the neglect of their families and relationships with the real people in their lives, I say enough is enough!

It's a bit like Manning last year blaming his offensive line. Just after you lose as number one seed you've got to be thinking 'oh man that might've been my only chance to win the big one and we've just blown it.' After some time he'll look back and realize that it's not his only chance and he'll regret carrying on just as I suspect Manning did last year. In the end not only are they both probably the best players at their positions they are also both upstanding athletes who set a good example, a rarity nowdays.

He was just frustrated at losing a big game. When you lose you don't like to see the other team rub it in and that's why he was mad. I don't know why all players can't act like Walter Peyton, Jerry Rice, and Tim Brown. Act like an adult instead of an immature kid.

It WAS disrespectful. I don't give a crap WHAT his team does or has done. Why are you being a whiny fan? Boo-hoo he insulted our players boo-hoo.
Oh and remember when everyone ran down T.O. for making fun of Ray Lewis's dance when T.O. scored that touchdown 3 years ago?
