Barak Obama is extremely versed in politics and is highly
educated, however what I feel from TV and your local news-
papers, I find a lot of mixed feelings. For one, there is a
tendency not to vote for the younger politicians, regardless
of ethnic backgrounds. Also the world seems to be ready
and anxious to have a Lady Presiding, this tendency is not
only in the USA but we have had Thatcher, Germany have
theirs, Scandinavians have theirs. So I think this
macho-man tendency in politics is more of a Latin discrimination
than anything else. This makes me tend to lean on favouring
Hilary, and again because she will be backed by one of the
greatest, who is Bill Clinton! Interesting that you should ask
this question, I will read all opinions! After all, the USA already
have Pelosi as the Head of the USA Congress.

I think they'd vote for a white female over a black, but the odds of either Obama or Clinton winning election are pretty slim.
Obama's only real qualification is that he IS black, which generates a lot of buzz, but not much substance. His political experience is next to nothing and when you listen to his speeches he's only parroting the same crap every other politician is spouting.
Hillary may be big in New York, but New York isn't the rest of the country. Women aren't going to vote for her just because she's female and a lot of people find her pushy and too liberal.
Think about it, in 2000 the Dems ran boring old Al Gore and the best they could do was a 50/50 tie... against Curious George Bush of all people!!! In 2004 they did even worse with Kerry in an election that a one-eyed chimpanzee should have won in a landslide.
People have had it with Bush and the neo-conmen, so the Dems have an enormous advantage going into 2008. The ONLY way they could screw it up would be to put one of those two poster children on the ticket... which is probably exactly what they're going to do.

Why not save time and elect a black female outside of the political establishment? I know that Oprah is rather tied up with her new school in South Africa but I am definitely available. I am about as smart as GWB and much more willing to change direction when all indications point to that being a good idea. The OBAMA/CLINTON ticket may be able to do a few things. We have a few things that make this a good pairing.
1. Experience that comes with age and living in politics (c)
2. Youth that brings a fresh perspective and focus (o)
3. Enough balance to give any issue presented the accurate amount of consideration (c & o)
4. May actually provide a conduit for facing racial issues with more clarity and less venom (we may be able to have a discussion on race relations and not kill each other)
Just my thoughts,
VOTE for ELWANDA in 2008

Probably not seeing as the majority of america is still dominated by the white suburban class. Although there probably will be more of a contest as many ethnic backgrounds and alot of women have their say now so who knows...it would be good to have a female/black or both president in America. Might show another point of view!

Isn't it pretty sad that race or gender plays any part at all? God knows, America needs the most able president wherever they are to be found.
Personally, I think it may be a touch soon for Obama. And won't it be easier for the kids to remember the presidencies if it goes:
Reagan, Bush, Clinton, Clinton, Bush, Bush, Clinton, Clinton, Bush (Jeb), Bush - does that take us up to when Chelsea would be old enough?
And I thought America had escaped the inherited rule of its European fatherlands...

the way Presidents run this country yet another female President (Hillary) would not rely neither right here nor there. Hillary did a large job mutually as hiding in the back of bill Condi as a solid individual could in good shape purely effective as long as she didnt fall and take the lobbyists money.

I am English and I know America will never have a black or female president, everybody knows that. Its sad but true. I do think a woman would be better at running the country!

None ... if that is possible.
I think in your question ... Hilary is going to be Presidential candidate for Democrats because she is more famous than Obama and 100% of non-African-American female votes will to her only.

Historically only white heterosexual males of European descent have been President.
This is unlikely to change any time soon; It's social Darwinism in it's purest form.
