If both are getting power but are not going on then this suggests that you have a broken neutral or return line. Suggest you use rule of half and trace broken wire. Most likely place is in the plug or socket and you should be looking for a burnt or loose connection.
Or perhaps they are switched on the Neutral and the switch is dickie check continuity across the switch.

REMEMBER ELECTRICITY KILLS IF YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING THEN GET SOMEONE WHO DOES.

Whirlpool Cooker Hood

this happened to my hotpoint cooker hood which i bought new for £200. All the switches go via a module with a pcb which controlled lights and extractor. There are no serviceable parts so i had to buy the whole module which cost £80. I guess if i had used the pros to do the job it would have cost as much as buying a new cooker hood!!
It sounds very like the module with pcb has gone. Isolate the fan i.e.power off - remove casings and see if there is a smallish black box behind the switches if there is nothing else between power input and switches then this box is the problem find your nearest whirlpool components dealer and order module. Remember it may be cheaper to go to BQ and buy a £60 extractor new !!!

Whirlpool Extractor Fan

If the bulb is getting power try another bulb. You may have two separate instances here.

If the fan doesn't work it could be faulty and needs replacing or if there is a pcb preventing power getting to it, that will need replacing.

First, check out how much it's going to cost you and would it be worth buying a whole new unit.

Try looking here for spare parts:

Bad switch. Bad fan. Broken wire. Bad connection. If it works on some speeds but not on others then blown resistor, These things often use wirewound resistors of limited lifespan.
