No, as a Scot who demands independence I value it as the first step towards my goal. Why can't you realise things cost money? The millennium dome was what's called a waste of money, at least our Parliament has been built to last and is used in a useful manner.
New builds will always have teething problems, but the doom has a definite shelf life. Our parliament has won many awards for its design. A girder falling down isn't reason to pull the whole things down!

Definitely not. If the Scots lose their parliament they will become another burden on the English. It would make more sense to strengthen the Scottish parliament by making it responsible (and pay for) for their own defence, foreign policy and health service. If all Scottish born MPs were removed from the House of Commons there would immediately be a surplus of talent to compete for seats in Edinburgh and Scotland could only benefit from the arrival of Tony Blair, Gordon Brown and John Read among others.

I think its quite right that there is a Scottish parliament, of course local people want control over local issues, and SMPs seem to have a lot more sense than the English ones... they said no to top-up fees remember!
The real problem lies with Scottish Nationalists. I'm all for national pride, but at the end of the day 1/3 of the Scottish economy is supported by the rest of Britain with our Top-up fees and cheap healthcare.

Sadly with great responsibility comes Politicians. As Scotland emerges from the Cloak of time it will again see the Clan wars or at least the modern version McPolitico versus Clan Mceveryone else! Pretty soon you will have all the Pigs and Garbage that goes with them I hope you put yours in jail though in America the Most successful thieves get elected to the NY Senate!

I can see the point of it,for example it lets some local issues be dealt with much more quickly than if it had to be voted on from westminster.
On the other hand because it doesnt have much real power you get debacles like spending tax payers money on daft things like telling people how to wash their hands.
If common sense is used it would be a good thing but how likely is that?

No. All Scots who really care should help get rid of the current group who waste your money.
The Liberals show their contempt for democracy by backing Labour and effectively disenfranchising their supporters.
To gain control, the people should go in for tactically voting and vote SNP. If the SNP win, that will really put the cat among the pigeons!
Then to put the boot in, vote Gordy out.
Only when politicians fear the voters will the people gain control.

The Scottish Parliament is here to stay and I would expect full independence within 10 years. Complaining over wasted money will not change things unless you are a Scottish voter.

there are 58 Scottish MPs in Westminster , voting on English matters.
The Scottish parliament building is, and always has been, one of the biggest jokes ever played on the Scottish people. It is also proof ( if proof be needed) that we are totally incapable of governing ourselves. It's a scandalous waste of money.

If you're a Scot living in Scotland, think yourself lucky. You've got a parliament. There is no such parliament for the English and England.
When?
