One CD that I find very relaxing to listen to is Enya.
I often sit and listen to it and it helps me unwind.

"Chakra Suite" by Steven Halpern--who has made a number of CDs and is recognized to be a leader in the field of music for meditation, healing and inner peace. This is a great CD to play before going to bed and is also a nice, gentle way to start the day.
"Crystal Voices"--The Harmonic Vibrations of Crystal Singing Bowls--very relaxing and effective
These 2 CDs contain music/sounds for the most part. The Crystal Voices CD contains an excellent 15 minute guided meditation to the major chakras (subtle energy centers of the body). It is enjoyable and simple to follow.

This is a difficult question to answer because everyone has a different way of relaxing. The music that appeals to each of us is different. My suggestion would be to go to a store like Target or a music store that allows you to sample some different music. They often have a display that has the music all there for the sampling.

Creative Visualisation by Shakhti Gawain has brought me through many a crisis and just for daily use it is excellent as well.

I think acoustic classical guitar music is the most relaxing. John Williams is good.

Thunder storms, rain and forest, waterfalls. depends on your likes. they work for me.
