A big red metal crate rigged with a parachute has landed on my lawn. It has all kinds of spooky untinelligable markings on it. What exactly whould I be doing?

The first reaction would be to inspect it then run and hide the treasure. On the other hand you should call the authorities, take some pictures for future reference and hopefully you can keep it. After all, posession is 9/10ths of the law.

Call the police first. they can contact the Sbi/FBI and others to check on it. Once resolved, you may be able to keep it.
