One of the scariest things about nuclear power is when something goes wrong and an accident occurs. Radiation is released into the environment and people get hurt. The only one that springs to mind is Chernobyl but I just put nuclear accidents into google and went on the first site wikkipedia or something like that! There is loads of pages of info so you will get a high grade for your homework! Good luck.

Chernobyl..........3 milei sland.......and in 1957 in the UK a nuclear plant called Windscale(now called Sellafield) was seconds away from a complete china syndrome the only way this was stopped was to tunnel under the plant and pack it with concrete. the scientists did the concrete packing and all died to save a major disaster.
