Thank you - the majority of answers were as I expected, with a few intelligent ones thrown in as well. To all those aggresive answers, this wasn't an insulting question, it was just a question, but seeing your reactions indicate that some of u are very defensive. Now, why would that be, I wonder???

From what I've read,it's seems like
there is plenty of non-americans who
hate my home.I think that President Bush
gives America a bad image.It makes me
sad that it's like that.Now some people,
from other countries,say very hateful
things and it hurts me a lot.No one cares
about how Americans feel.Everyone
should blame Bush and not the country.
Plus,I hate when people say that all
Americans are ugly,fat,and smelly.
I'M NOT ANY OF THAT!I'm not rich
either,I'm poor.Americans are
judged wrong.I want those lies to end.
How could someone say heartless
things like that?I hate Bush so much
for becoming president and
ruining our image.I'll be happy
when Bush leaves office.
Bush is the problem,blame him for it.
I have no choice but to live here.
I hate how others criticize my home.
I don't think my country is superior,though.

I don't think the rest of the world understands us, we barely understand ourselves.
It's not envy or toleration either.
I think our diversity makes us very complicated & hard to figure & that scares the other people of the world.
Our media gives a pretty screwed up view of our country & that's all most others have to go on.
Our arrogance can also bite us in the butt & make us look insincere.
Most people dislike what they don't understand so I guess dislike is the answer.

I'm an American man living in Thailand. Thai people love Americans and everybody else, except muslims. Because in South Thailand all muslims do is chop off heads and blow up stuff.
99.9% of the people living in S.E. Asia could not find Iraq on a map, or give a ratsass why Americans are there.
All people in Thailand want to do is buy their I-pods, DVD players, computers, mobile-phones and blue-jeans. And listen to American and Japanese and Korean music. If George nuked the entire Mid-East nobody here could care less.

well, im a citizen but I was born in europe, and I travel there all the time so I guess im kind of cheating on this question, but I don't think anyone thinks too highly of america. Some might be jealous of the wealth but all are somewhat disgusted in American ethics and behavior.

i imagine you feel the same about us as we do. The richer you are, the more you don't mind us. The poorer you are, the more you think we suck. But it's pretty hard to be really poor in America. You have to be homeless plus have some other major problem to be as poor as someone who is, say, starving.

I don't want to abuse somebody but often people in my country say they find you dull, falsefriendly, fat. I know many people from your country and know that people are different of course. What I hate mostly about your country is your president. He is dull

Who cares? They all like to spit on us, and then ask us too feed them when their people are dying and to fight their wars when they are getting their asses handed to them.
If America ever falls, we take the world down with us. The rest of the world depends on our economy.

I don't care how you view us. We're Americans we know we're the best. In all reality you should envy us, and I know that my response falls directly into the category of the big ugly American stereotype but I really dont care because its true. America is the best place on Earth hands down U.S.A. !!!!!!
