Yes as your hormones are all over the place! I actually suffered from antenatal depression during weeks 6 ish - 14 ish of my first pregnancy and I have never been depressed before or after - it's just not me!! So enjoy being moody and snappy - blame the pregnancy! You won't be able to use it as an excuse forever!

Serious point though - if you do feel really depressed and can't control it, do go to your GP to chat through your options. Mine was fantastic and I may not have come through it as easily without her.

I think it is very normal to be grumpy and feeling down in early stages of pregnancy, especially if it is your first. Your body is going through some hormonal stages already, and your mind will be racing with 100 questions. It will ease down, and you should find yourself at a stage where you do a complete turn around and feel proud and happy about your pregnancy. If you are really concerned, talk to your GP.

Yes, the worst comes out when you are pregnant.
You say and do things you never thought you were capable of doing or saying.

It will calm down sometime during your pregnancy, normally during your 2nd trimester. But with some it doesn't go away at all and others don't even get it. But then comes labour day and you might be like i was. I felt like something out of hell. People could not cope with me. But during my pregnancy I was as calm as a baby. Now being pregnant only 4 months with baby number two, i am like snappi the who knows what.

Be patient and enjoy your pregnancy and make SORRY your new best friend.

good luck and congrats

Your body is in such an enormous hormonal upheaval! There are things you can do to help, though, to make you and the poor souls around you feel better...smiling

Exercise...walking is good, stretching, plenty of water
Meditation .... serene quiet moments throughout your day
Massage.... worked well for me, upper back and neck especially
Organization ... if your home is not organized, spend time doing so, especially the baby's room. An uncluttered home is a great beginning for an uncluttered life.
Avoid loud noises, they are more stressful than you might think.
Listen to calming music, it can help to relax you

I wish you joy, dear one, and a stress-reduced pregnancy. And pay attention how you speak to others...you CAN control it.

yeah most women feel this way, its all the hormones rushing around your system, I am 23weeks and when i first fell pregnant, i had this anger thing going on, where everyone was annoying me and I would have took on goliath. It has calmed down, so please try not to worry about it too much, it is normal. You also arent feeling your best at this time, due to fatigue, sickness, headaches and generally down in the dumps. It does pass mostly in the 2nd trimester, but is meant to come back in the 3rd. So Good Luck and try not to worry.

Yes! I also have been really moody my last two weeks of pregnancy here (I'm due in 4 days). It's because of the giant change in hormones. My mood got great after the 3rd month, so hope it works like that for you also.
