I have tried different network sim cards and the problem remains the same!

This is a phone fault you cannot fix. If you are within the first 14 days of a contract, take it back to the shop. Similarly if it's PAYG take it back and argue that it's faulty.

Could be one of 3 things. ! it could be a faulty phone, 2 it could be a internal aerial problem or 3 it could be network problem could be one of the transmitter where you live might be down. I would try switching off and on again because if its a network problem everytime you switch of and on again it changes cells (transmitter). Could be reduced power on the transmitter your phone has locked onto. I've had this myself, I was expecting a text msg, waited for about 2 hours I thought thats funny nobody has texted me, so I switched off my phone switched it back on again and as soon as I got a signal 3/4 messages came through.
