flea bombs! I think I used the Raid in the green can. I used a lot of them when I did it. I even threw a bunch in the attic and some under the house. I still saw some after we did it but as long as you keep a kleen house, the resson from the bomb will eventually kill them off.

Shampoo the animal first or animals, leave the flea shampoo on for 20 minutes keep them in the bathroom if you have to. Comb out the dead fleas with a small flea comb or small comb.
Cat fleas are a lot smaller then dog fleas so take you time.
When you bath them the fleas, tend to hide in the but area make sure you get plenty of shampoo there.
Wash all bedding and shampoo carpeting or use a powder and vacum. repeat this every 2 weeks until gone.
The temperature of a cat or dog is a little higher then a human so they will want to stay on them. Start with the animal first. Also using a product like defend that you put on the animals neck works, but you have to get rid of the infestation first.

It depends on where they are. If they are in your carpet sprinkle it with flea powder and let it sit for abour 15-20 minutes before vacuuming. Do the same with couches, if they are fabric. With dogs you can take them for a flea dip, or you can use the flea powder on them, comb them out then use a flea/tick shampoo.
