1. The Janet Jackson episode - In Europe, a breast is a breast but the incident beamed across headlines in the US, reflecting the puritaniacal attitude of the press and liberals.

2. It is far more common to have nude beaches open to public in Europe. Prostitution is always legal and live-in relationships are accepted in the same vein as regular marriages. Also, condoms are promoted as tools for preventing HIV/AIDS and not "abstinence". Also, there is far greater representation of interracial relationships in European society, and also mainstream media.

Lets look at differences for an explanation-
In the janet jackson incident, the puritanical views expressed were conservative, not liberal!
Europeans are exposed to more of what really happens in the world, therefore develop a more world attitude,
They also better understand the differences in politics, including definitions of liberal, conservative, democracy, facism. capitalism and communism.
They have decided to combat many of the social mores in the only reasonable way that exists- they legalize it, tax it, and therefore can actually control it! Because drugs are legal in one area but not another, people who try to be law abiding will only do them in the legal area, instead of the best place to hide (where you dont want them, like around children) the same goes for prostitution. By removing the black market element they have disposed of the majority of social problems caused by it!

The liberals here????Oh no, the people who freaked were the christian american version of the "Taliban" that have had the president's ear for the past six years.Their priorities are completely screwed up. These are the same people who have a herd of cows when a mother breast feeds in public.

We simply have different cultures. Just as we have no right to force our values on them - they have no right to force their values on us.
