if you have a DVR box you can.. I don't know where you live but I have comcast cable,, the box is $10 per month and well worth it. I can tape 2 shows at a time and watch a show that I recorded earlier or even watch a DVD while a show is being taped. Its great to do when I'm away or on vacation! look into getting one if your cable company offers them... good luck
