will it affect my hard-disk?
i know all abt bad sectors but will it affect too much like crashing?

i dnt have any inverter like stuff

depends on how lucky u are! ;)
most probably u wont.
but depends on:
- the operation what u were doing when power went off,
- how old is ur hard disk
- etc
stop worrying .. get a ups!

It may cause the data loss in your computer. the worst thing is that the parts of the program file will be lose I mean while you are open and using it. Try to avoid operating your computer in such condition. That's the best choice you have!

if your copmuter hasn't short circuited it is most likely that your HDD hasnt been affected
