I am 29 years old and I was in a disagreement with a 22 year old girl at my work. Then she says to me "Oh yeah, well, you're a 30 year old!" And I said "Yeah, but I look younger and better than you, and let's see if you even make it to 30."

You did. It's not cool to dis elders for their age. That's disrespectful. And we will be that age one day too, if we are lucky enough to live long lives.
Also, age is just a number. You may look better and be able to perform better than her.

I think both comebacks sound immature. Neither addressed the point you were arguing about. As the older, you should not stoop to the immature 22 year old's level. Actually, her saying "You're a 30 year old!" should be considered a compliment. There's nothing wrong with being in your 30's. Most of us reach that age sooner or later.

Your comment about her making it to 30 could be perceived as a threat. You two don't get along and she could go to upper management and blow your comment out of proportion. It's may seem ridiculous but people will do anything today.

Truly? Both "comebacks" came off as totally immature and superficial. That means that both EQUALLY suck. Each of you merely made reference to the other's physical appearance...or anticipated appearance - 8 years hence. The real issue (whatever it was), wasn't even touched on.
