Hi, just noticed this, this morning on my car, i was driving fine and then i went on the motorway and the wheels started squeking, this seemed to fade when i pressed on the brakes, however the squek won't go away. I think it could be the drive shaft on iots way out but was wondering if anyone herer had any clue

most all brake pads come with a wear indicator... this lets you know when the brake pad is at replacement level..brake pads usually last about 45k miles and if you look at the rotor and see grooves cut in them, then turn rotors and replaced pads..and the cv axles don't sqeak, they make a clicking noise, when the cv joint is damaged

When did the last time you inspect your FB pads? most of today cars equipped with Front disc brake to reduce service times but tends to produce what it calls " brake dust ", when builds up around the rotor surface create a sqeaking noise, remove your tires and use brake cleaner to clean off access brake dusts then if you can applies some " disc brake surface lubricant " to reduce brake rotor noise, sells at almost any automotive stores. Also inspect your brake rotor surface for linnings, you can use your finger to feel the surface when its cool, disc rotor's lining also caused sqeaking noises when contacting with pads. Hope this help!
