My best guy friend that I've known for about a year is starting to date a girl. This is the first time he is in a relationship since i've known him. It is his sisters best friend and she lives some distance away, but I'm worried about how this will affect our relationship. We are very good friends and I was wondering what the do's and don't would be from my side?

Why should it change anything, be happy for him. If you don't like her bite your tongue, it probably wont last anyway if its his first, there will probably be many more

When a guy is friends with a girl, one of them wants it to be a relationship but not the other, usually. So, if you want him, let him know. If you don't want him, then let him go. In my experience, I've always lost guy friends when they date someone serious, it just happens. Sad, but true. Women go away for awhile because they're busy, but they come back.

Well basically your friendship won't last very long, the girlfriends always tend to get their own way, but he will come back begging for forgiveness once his heart has been broken and he has lost all his friends. Instead of letting all this happen why don't you rather date him, you know him better then any other girls just take it to the next level.
