I don't think people are doing it because of her race. They're bullying her out of jealousy and because they are so thick and ignorant, they're making utter fools of themselves by making sweeping statements about India and China that simply aren't true!

Not sure about all the detail but what if situation was diffrent would any White people get offended if a Indian girl was harrasing a White girl on a show infront of live audience and telling 'White Chick' to go back to where she had came from.
They don't show Big Brother in USA (atleast not in the channel line up I am getting), so I can only go by what I am reading from internet.
Not sure if Shilpa is being racially abused but she was getting abused on live TV, that still is wrong.

I can trace my family back to the 1530's. mostly from Somerset and all white. ( this is not an Asian plug as someone said)
Yes Shilpa is getting bullied more than racist attacks. however, 3 white girls attacking 1 foreign dark beautiful girl.
I try to say to myself that these girls don't have the brains of a mentally challenged chimp but then I think that if Danielle went to India and everybody ganged up on her I would be shouting racist.
The only people that don't see that, are the ones that don't see anything wrong with racism.
If Shilpa has a little giggle about some of the girls pronunciation, I do too,in fact I sometimes find it hard to follow Dan and Jade.
As someone who is the most articulate in the house Shilpa probably cannot believe that she can speak better English ( her 6th language) than someone born in UK. ( by the way all of the foreigners with speak a more standard English that the local girls with the exception of Cleo)
When you call anybody of a different colour a dog etc. it does come across as racist.
I would feel it as being racist if an Indian called me a dog or anything like that but then like the other people complaining I come from a good home and would not do that to others.

What is wrong with the British Public to have made Jade Goody a celebrity? There are a lot of people who work and study hard to get to into the media and she has done nothing, she can't even speak properly let alone English, she sounds retarded. Actually some of the others can't speak their own language either let alone anothe language. Maybe that's why they don't like Shilpa she speaks their language better than them. Split them up they will be whips on their own. I have experienced bullies there only something in groups. Come on Big Brother!

Race comes into it - but the main thing is bullying because the 3 witches are so jealous of Shilpa being a million miles better than them in every way. I was horrified to hear Danielles comments about people eating with their fingers in India/China. She's so incredibly ignorant it's horrible to watch. Yes they do, right hand, wat's the problem? At least Shilpa has the intelligence and wit to know she outclasses the other girls and she can gain some strength from that. It's embarassing though - gives the UK an even worse name that it already has - thanks girls.

If it weren't for juvenile, obnoxious, petty behavior related to being drunk, sleeping around, being attractive, fitting in, not fitting in, being loved, or being despised, no one would watch stupid reality television like Big Brother. Those people are in that house to offend, betray, annoy, back-stab, lie to, and otherwise make the others in the house somehow beneath each other in order to win a large sum of money. All sorts of vile behavior has been shown on Big Brother and everyone thought it was cheeky and scandalous and entertaining until the victim was from India, and then suddenly we all expected the housemates to be nothing but dignified and loving and respectful of all diversity and human rights. WTF?!
My position is this. If you are a Big Brother watcher then you - by definition - find yourself entertained by people acting horribly and cruelly to each other. Don't you *dare* have the nerve to suddenly be offended because you think that making fun of someones accent is unspeakable while lying and cheating and betrayal and general despicableness is "just good TV."

I don't think it is racism. it is more of the fact that she is being bullied by Jade, Jo and Danielle. i think that she is getting bullied because of the fact that people are jealous of her. people are also making fun out of her accent. i feel sorry for shilpa shetty because she is a nice person and everyone is making her upset by bullying her. i am big fan of big brother.

I don't know if it's specifically racial abuse but she is being bullied. There's a fine line between bullying and racism and we have to be careful not to confuse the two as many people cry racism these days in an unnecessary way thus diluting the real meaning of racism.
Either way, the girl is getting a lot of abuse and pressure from Jade and Co and despite what a lot of people think, I believe that Daniella is the instigator in all of this.

i think jackey was being racist, calling her 'that indian' etc.. but i jade, danielle and jo are just jealous of shilpa.. n yup i do think danielle is behind most of it.. she's 2 faced and adds fuel to the fire when jade is arguing with shilpa.. danielle cant take the fact that there is someone prettier than her in the house..
the bullying is really awful.. no1 deserves to be treated like that.. shilpa seems like a decent person

Not at all the media are constantley calling Jade goody a pigf surelly that is also bullying in some capacity, if shilpa was white and was just being abused for being an ignorant stuck up ***** it wouldnt be an issue but as per usual the political correctness a**holes are on theire high horse.
