i've been so see my doctor about this very same thing though my peroids have stopped for just over a year now and i should be off to see a gynaecologist soon.
doctor's are worried if your periods stop for more than 6 months and they should take some blood to do some tests on it to see if your hormone levels and if your vitamin levels are ok, and all those other sorts of things.
stress is a big factor, but they'll also take into account your own history with your periods. if they've been irregular in the past, if you've just come off the contraceptive pill, have just started the contraceptive pill, have changed your contraception, have lost lots of weight or put on lots of weight recently, or if you've got any other health problems, and so on.
it's best to go and see your doctor, like other people have said. that way you know what is happening in your body when the test results come back.
at the moment, i'm quite happy not having periods as they're such a hassle, and i feel well in myself, so i'm hoping that nothing major is wrong, but i'll find out soon enough!

You can get pregnant if you have been intimate with a man at all such as rubbing against him and both of you are naked. You don't have to have penetration and the semen just has to be close to your vaginal opening they can swim you know. Have you had a pregrnancy test? Also, have you gained an excessive amount of weight? If you have that can change your cycle as well. The main thing for you to do is a pregnancy test then see a doctor.

There are many reason why your period may have stopped. Your body is telling you something is wrong so i would go to the doctor. It could be some thing quite simple or it could be some thing that would benifit being sorted out sooner rather than later.

Insufficient nutrition, too strenuous exercise, too much stress, genetics...
It's best to go to a doctor. Don't worry, just do it.
