I thought church in general promoted homosexuality since so many preachers like to feel up little boys.

No churches promote homosexuality. The catholics promote heterosexuality. Those who don't promote heterosexuality simply accept all of their parishoners as they come. Finding a church where I could love God and my partner proved to me that heaven exists.

Some Episcopalian churches in the U.S. do, though they're not exactly Protestant.
