its obvious that we are not well liked in the world now more than ever. every world dominating empire/civilization has fallen in the past. i dont think we are much different. maybe we have gotten too comfortable over here in the states...what do you think?

As great civilizations go, America is still very young but yes, I believe lack of money (bankruptcy as a nation) and lack of resources (fresh water and other essentials) will bring about an end to America as we know it, the culture, and way of life in my lifetime.
America is further over-extended, with weaker leaders with shorter Vision than the Ancient Egyptians, Ancient Romans, and others. It's not a criticism, just an observation.
In 1000 years I doubt we'll be viewed as much more than a brief curiousity in the timeline of the world.

This isn't "anti-American". When America topples, others will fall also, such as Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, and so on. Other countries who are more self-sufficient and better financed may last longer.

I'm don't hate the american people...I have nothing against them...I do however disagree with current government, but as far as I can see and understand, the current government is not really the choice of the people.

Will America be toppled? Hmmm I think that with time there will be another superpower, just like England was during WW1 and WW2, but America will remain as a strong country. Due to the population etc;

sigh...i don't think we will see america toppled.

yes it is obvious, but i would not consider the united states as a "world dominating civilization". Historic empires and civilizations that have fell, fell due to bankruptcy, lack of soldiers, too much land; greed usually.

They certainly weren't fat, or stupid. America in a way... well is greedy [Iraq], ... so ha, I'm talking in circles. I've offered both sides.

No, America will not soon be "toppled".

And no, the world does not hate us. The media would like you to think that, but it's not true.

I've been all around the world in the last 10 years and I've never seen it. The world is very, very different than depicted in the news or in movies. You really have to see it for yourself.

For one thing, people all over the world are just like us. Our differences are superficial only.

The more likely scenario is that before America destabilizes and "topples", the world will develop a unified government system and become more of a global democracy (not that this would necessarily be in our best interests).

Sure maby we will fall maby we won't history can't really predict the weather. We're in a touchy age that no culture has experienced. we can blow each other up a million times over and while communicating with a correspondence half way across the world through video stream.

Who knows we have been attacked once. Remember the Antrax scare soon after. Wasn't that fun. no
I should die sooner or later. I would like to ensure my offspring with a good future but I don't make the rules the one's with the gold do.

Don't Panic.

Isn't it obvious that one thing begins it eventually ends? But we are Rome just with a new name. China is China but it doesn't have the same government as it used to.

Now when is China going to end ha ha I like that question.

I think you have a good point. America has become both comfortable and arrogant, and being big will fall hard. The only question is when.

I don't feel very comfortable over here in the United States. My job sucks, my back aches, my sinus headache won't go away, I have two hammer toes, one bunion, and hemorrhoids.
