its obvious that we are not well liked in the world now more than ever. every world dominating empire/civilization has fallen in the past. i dont think we are much different. maybe we have gotten too comfortable over here in the states...what do you think?

Comfortable no, spoiled yes. Too many people that want everything but are not willing to pay for it, or fight for it! America is fine for now, but the future is clouded for the first time since the Revolutionary war. Most of the old empires that collapsed collapsed from within. Hopefully someday the People of America, both Democrats and Republicans will see that Liberals are trying to take us on a path that leads to nowhere. I am sick of all the Whining and comparing Bush to Hitler. They need to go overseas and see what the rest of the world is like. Even whiny France doesn't have the civil rights and liberties we have. Check their laws. They make our Patriot act look like high school detention!
THANK GOD for the soldiers that are still willing to fight for us and our country.

No...not in my life time or my grandchildren's....if I ever have any! As for the US being a world dominating empire I don't see us dominating the world. The most dominate influence in the world currently...absolutely.
I have been to the middle east and Europe and would still prefer to live in the US then anywhere else...even with our many faults.

Every great empire has fallen. The tell-tale sign of when the Roman Empire was on its way out was when the politicians all became corrupt. Yipe!
