It has turned into a small community of Yahoo neighbors with all the comforts of home: GOSSIP, SLANDER, SEX,SCANDAL,SUCCESS,LOSS,NEWS. I think I might be moving to another town soon, what about you?

Yes, I have been away from Y!A because of the behavior here, and when I returned, most of the questions were just nonsense about a few users. Perhaps Y!A will find a fix for it soon, or perhaps it will just allow the system to become irrelevant.
There is a great deal of opportunity for this site, both for gaining knowledge by the users, and for advertising by Yahoo!. In the current state, I could not recommend anyone to advertise on this site, or to use it as a knowledge tool, except perhaps a study of abnormal psychology.
Although some might try to extrapolate some information about Organizational Behavior and Group Dynamics from the posts, it is becoming overtaken by a rather narrow group of niche users, which do not appear to reflect the same group behavior other sites have.
I have also noticed the quality in other categories I monitor has declined, with wrong answers often being chosen as best answer. I suspect that would cause people unaware of the flaws of the system to believe incorrect information to be true.
There was so much potential for this site, but it isn't too late if Yahoo! actually chooses to do something to improve the site and the impact it has on the users and the occasional users. At this point in time, the last thing Yahoo! needs is another hit to their credibility, especially given the price performance of their stock compared to the S&P 500. Y!A is a small part of Yahoo!, but all components are bits of the looking glass potential investors examine.

It has, including this question. The only differerence is that this question puts logic to why people are doing this so much. Nobody should really care about other users. This site should be for people seeking genuine answers to genuine issues.

Yes. It's turned into a big chat room. People are asking stuff that doesn't belong here, I guess because they hang out here more often?

It has quite a bit, depending on what time it is. Sometimes it doesn't bother me, but it seems like there are other times when enough is enough. I just try to ignore it as best as I can.
