Do I need to get a new passport or can I just bring a marriage certificate?? We're leaving next month so if I need a new passport I could be in trouble.

You can either get a new passport or bring your marriage certificate, it works either way, but geeting a new one could be easier, I once had that problem and they asked me for all kind of papers, I showed my DL, marriage certificate, passport, and even talked to a supervisor in the airline to let me go in the plane.
So is up to you if you want to spare the trouble or not.

They have gotten very strict these days about credible passports. If it curbs your anxiety, you can get an expedited passport within a couple weeks, but better start right away. It requires making an appointment!

Yes, if your driver'd license is in your current name you'd better get your passport updated asap. It costs quite a bit to do this as a rush job.
