I'm in my 20's and I get mistaken for anywhere between 14-16. Noone ever believes my real age, I always have to pull out my Drivers Liscence to prove it.

on the other hand I get told to "grow up" alot, usually by my bf. lol

Ummmm... whatever it is... enjoy it while it lasts. There will come a day when you don't look so juvenile. Kind of sucks to look really young when you are not. Seems often you are not really taken really seriously until you start to look like you've had a bit of experience. People tend to treat you like a child. Don't worry about it too much! It will give you wrinkles and gray hair! It will pass... so ENJOY!

Also... 2 of my favorite quotes:
"You are only young once, but you can be immature FOREVER!" - John Greier
"You don't stop playing, because you grow old... you grow old, because you stop playing." - ?

Wow, you really have some self-esteem issues. I just answered a question from you.

Without knowing you, we can't say if your looks make you look young or if your behavior is immature, so people preceive you as being young.

I had a friend that looked about ten years younger then she was all through High School. But she was mature, so even though people, including me, thought she was a kid, we soon realized she just looked young, but she was not looked down on or as a kid, because she behaved in a responsible and mature manner.

I think that you are way too caught up in what others think, based upon the questions you are posting. You will never get the needed answers here because we don't know you. You are the best judge of who and what you are.

Take the time to right down your positive qualities and I'm not talking anything to do with looks. Then write down qualities that you have that you think you need to improve upon.

Do you respect other? Respect isn't about agreeing with others, it's about allowing them their own views on issues and allowing them the same right you need to have to live your life the best you can. You can disagree with someone, and still respect them.

Are you kind in your dealings with others? This doesn't mean never standing up for yourself, never disagreeing with others.

Do you bad mouth people and gossip?

Are you willing to learn about other people's life experiences that make them who they are?

Can you accept that not everyone has had the same life experiences as you have and that differences are okay?

Can you talk about world issues, social issues, issues among your peers without needing them to see things your way or you get angry? Mature people can discus different views, have different views on an issue and still get along.

Do you help your parents without having to be asked? A mature person does.

Do you only think about what your needs are in your family or are you concerned about the needs of others in your family?

Can you care about someone, without allowing them to get you to do things you shouldn't or don't want to do? A mature person can.

Maturity is about boundaries. It's about respect. It's about not always having to be the focus of a conversation. It's about caring about issues outside or life experiences. It's about learning about the world around you, without having to experiences everything, even dangerous things, in order to understand an issue.

Stop worring about others, it's a sign of maturity to allow others to think whatever they want about you and to live your life the best that you can despite what others say or think about you. It's hard, but it is a sign you are maturing.

GOOD LUCK, life is all about learning, growing and doing your best. Your value doesn't come from what others say about you or think about you, it comes from within.

Maybe because you seem self-absorbed with the way you look and what people think?

Try dressing more like a grownup and speaking in a lower voice.

Maybe you're treated as a child because you look like a child. Then you behave like a child because you get treated like one.
