In America, there are two basic paths.

4 year full undergrad, then 4 years of pharmacy schools

or

2 years undergrad, then 4 years of pharmacy school. This method typically is a 6 year program, where right after high school, you go to a university that has you take just the absolute basics needed to get a degree and then you move straight into pharm school.

Yes, it pays well, but there's not much room to move salary-wise except for basic raises, usually tied to cost of living increases. Pharm school is different from med school.

at first glance, hard-to-believe or 'urban myth' but you give specifics -- yeh wow what a story -- & reminds me of old joke: a guy jumps off a building, 10th floor -- passing the 9th floor, when someone asks "How's it going" the guy answers "So far so good" -- same with the 8th etc. -- ha; & this Opus story by-the-way an example of 'legalese' i.e how the Law tries to define certain incidents.
