The earth revolves around the sun in the same direction as the earth spins. So, if you say the earth spins counterclockwise (northern hemisphere chauvanism!), then it orbits the sun counterclockwise.

- The earth rotates about itself
- Sun rises in the east and sets in the west....which is an indicator of clockwise if you are standing on the south and counter clockwise if you are standing on the north pole
- The sun is stationary in relation of the earth and earth revolves around the sun, The earth revolves around in the same direction which the it rotates around itself in (just depends where you are looking from)
