I've read that certain herbs each have a planetary influence/astrological energy to provide vibes for magick.

I'm not sure of the most antiquated sources, but I do know that neopaganism drew a lot of its correspondences from ceremonial and hermetic magic. Aleister Crowley's "777" is full of tables of correspondences for the planets, and I'm betting that some of the information was drawn from that, though I don't beloieve there's much specifically on herbs.
Tony Mierzwicki's "Graeco-Egyptian Magick" mentions herbs associated with each of the planets, as researched from the original sources.

This goes back to Alchemy. Do some research on magical alchemy, the concept of like attracts like and you'll probably find what you're looking for.
