I don't think so. While JKR has hinted of the possibility, I still think she won't do it. And there have been rumors too that the last line of the book will be 'Your scar, it's gone'. Now of course JKR may change her opinion during writing, but it seems that at least originally she intended for him to survive. If she lets him die it'll likely be mostly to avoid pressure of writing 'Harry in college' & 'Harry as an adult' books.

In last book the following people should die: Snape Umbridge All the Malfoys All the Death Eaters Voldemort Fudge and anyone else who apposes Harry Potter or the Order of the Phoniex

The only person who knows this is JK Rowling and she isn't telling anyone :) In fact, she doesn't even share some details of the series with her own husband!

By the way, the final chapter of series, which she wrote all those years ago, has been locked away in an undisclosed location for some time now because she didn't want anyone to try to break into her house in an attempt to find it. That is how important the ending (and its protection) is to her.

Yes! He dies in his battle with Voldermort. Actually both Harry and
Voldermort die but Harry comes out as a ghost while Voldermort vanishes forever. I read in the newspapers and magazines.

Two main characters apparently die though.

But at the end of the day, the answer lies with J.K. we just have to be patient.

The final word, in the final book is 'scar'. thats all we know.
