Is it a mixture or pure substance?

mixture - 2 or more substances that are mixed together but not chemically combined.

pure substance- made of only one kind of matter and has definite properties
(pure substances consiste of compounds and elements)
-compounds are pure substances formed from chemical combinations of two or more different elements.
-elements are pure substances that can't be broken down into other substancea by any chemical means.

The "Chair Conformation" is the most stable form of any six-membered ring compound, such as, Cyclohexane. In this conformation it is completely free of strain. The site below may help you see what this is. I hope this helps.

Wood is not a pure substance, it is a naturally occurring mixture.

It would depend on your chair...is it all wood, with no nails or other hardware (held together by wooden dowels)? Then it would be pure substance.

If it has metal components and wood or wood-like components, then it would be a mixture.
