You don't.
A dos window cannot display the graphics from the web.
It can be used for BBS (ancient history) or even FTP.
Programs like Kermit were once popular for Internet file transfer using an interface similar to a simplified Windows Explorer (no mouse functionality).

This is impossible to surf internet through DOS Prompt. DOS promt is not a graphical mode.

I don't know about DOS, but in the Bash terminal, there is a web browser called Lynx. Also the program emacs can be used for internet activity. Basically any terminal text editor can.

Sorry, Dos does not support Internet because this CUI (Charracter User Interface) and Internet is GUI (Graphical User Interface) well you can check the signal using ping command

U can test internet connection in DOS, to ensure internet properly connected or not by giving below command
PING www.yahoo.com
ping www.rediff.com
by use of PING command

u can use telnet,ftp,ping etc on DOS prompt but serfing net is not possible.However it is possible in Linux/Unix.
