Turn off your water at the main stopcock and dry all the water up. Then leave for a while and turn water back on. then try to see where water is coming from. if it is only under the floor you must have a leaking pipe under the floor.

if you have a water meter is it still going on when all water is turned off? ..you may have to check reading and wait for an hour with everything turned off to see if you are still using some ..if no meter switch everything off ..locate stop tap ..turn off tight ..with a long screwdriver or something like a piece of broom handle put one end to stop tap and one end to your ear ..can you hear any noise at all .. you should hear nothing ..now turn on tap and listen again ..you should all so hear nothing ..if you can hear a noise you know you have a leak in a pipe ..then call the plumber

best start with a general builder. Could be damp, water table, heating, water pipe, drains, fountain of youth......

Is it a lot of water, or just a puddle ?

Water pipes don't leak and stop. They continue.

So if its water thats just appeared and not getting more then its probably the water table or a drain

a plumber is the best bet, does your water main run under the house? or it could just be something simple like a bleeding elbow joint on a hot or cold feed.

please add more info ie are you on ground level? if so then it could just be that the water table has risen. my cellar is flooded with about 8 inches at the moment. no need to worry unless you need a damp course which you would know by the water soaking UP your walls.
