On several occassions, I have heard girls use the term sweet. Sometimes if I say that a girl is good looking then the girl will say, "you're sweet." But I don't see that as being sweet, I just see that as acknowledging someone's attractiveness. Isn't sweet more realistic when a girl feels violated, or hurt and a nice guy makes her feel better?

It's usually the most platonic way for me to give a compliment to a guy, usually used for guys who are prone to crushing on me or seem to be, in order to not "egg him on" or give him the wrong Idea.

I've never told any guy I'm interested in "you're sweet." I try to be more forward or revealing so he'll know I'm interested.

I don't want to sound harsh, but in my experience when girls use the word sweet with a guy who does something nice for her or gives her a compliment, that's a way for her to be nice but at the same time let the guy know that she just wants him as a friend!

The new term "so sweet" in this day and age simply means when you are saying or doing something that it is heartfelt.

in my terms is doing or saying anything nice to a girl. it's actually pretty rare that guys genuinly do or say nice things to a girl without alterior motives behind them. so they came up with a short word for it.
