Is it just me or does anyone else think that the 'racist' thing they claim is going on in the big brother house is ridiculous?!!
I do believe that Shilpa is getting picked on slighlty but the fact is that she seems very manipulative and she plays the 'everyone feel sorry for me' card once too often. I do think the other girls are going about it the wrong way but I DEFINITELY DO NOT think it is anything to do with the colour of her skin!
WHat do you think?

I agree I didn't hear any racist comments. People are just too paranoid about sounding racist nowadays that in effect one becomes racist by being *overly* aware of it!

"Celeb" Big Bro has the lowest ratings ever this time round - aparently they were evening thinking of pulling the plug!

I agree with you totally i havent seen the racist comments the girls are supposed to have said.People like to go over board maybe they have said things not meaning to sound racist but have been turned around to look as if it is.Myself i do not like shilpa not because she is from india or for the colour of her skin she is a very pretty women but i just dont like her for the way she is with people like you said she wants everyone to feel sorry for her!!.When she argued with jackie, jackie was trying to explain that she couldnt pronounce her name so could she call her something else but shilpa wasnt having any of it,she was trying to make jackie look to be the bad one.I have to say though this big brother is not as good as last year its getting to boring and with all this hype about racism i cant see it staying on air for long.
Oh and by the way if shilpa was talking about the girls in a certain way would that be called racism, but i bet there wouldnt be all this fuss about it!!!

I dont think it's classic racism, i think this is an underhand racial bully tactic.
I think the one thing people should remember is not to tar Shilpa with the "British mentality" brush. This woman is from a completely different background, where people treat each other with dignity and respect. Being British myself, i find the whole situation very embarrassing. What must Jermaine Jackson, Dirk Benedict think of the British? That we're all as bad as these "celebrities"? Very possibly. I think Shilpa is handling the BULLYING very well. Had one of the girls turned on the other, I think we'd see a football yob scenario appearing, with plates & fists flying. Saying that Danielle isn't doing to bad in those stakes, with the vile & drunk mouth. Had she entered for Miss Britain now, i'm sure they'd never accept her, as you have to be a lady and have feminine mannerisms, something, i'm sure she'll never be caperble of in this life time. Teddy Sheringham should get shot of her, before she ruins his reputation.
Jade Goody, is and has always been a Joke. Her boyfriend only speaks when she allows and when he does, it's complete crap. Jo, really should get back to her dogs where she belongs. I would like to see the other four: Jermaine, Dirk, Cleo & "H" to step in now.

Whether you think Jade, Danielle and Jo's treatment towards Shilpa as racist or bullying its still unacceptable.

I am from Birmingham and because of how we are portrayed on TV most folk think that because of the accent we are thick, uneducated and stupid! I hate the way folk mock my accent...it hurts at times BUT only reinforces how narrow minded and ignorant these folk are plus it is a form a racism/regionalism.

To mimic someone's accent is rude, to call someone 'the Indian' shows ignorance and there have been a few racist comments towards Shilpa.

However I feel this group of female bullies will be the losers! Shilpa can come out of the experience with her head held high BUT Jade, Danielle and Jo are all guilty of bullying and will have to face the consequences.

Perhaps they are bullying her because she is different from them. Shilpa appears to be an educated woman with social manners, they lack these qualities.

Whatever Jade, Danielle and Jo are doing they do NOT represent the rest of the UK. Whatever Channel 4 and Endemol are doing by allowing this victimization does not represent the rest of the UK. Big Brother has crossed the line so who is the biggest bully?

I pretty much agree with most comments made, i don't think there is any intentional racism and the bullying comes across more because there are the 3 girls involved, shilpa herself has not complained of any bullying or racism (although she doesnt have to anyone can if they find peoples actions offensive), shilpa appears to be a very good actress the whole way through. And i dont see anyone complaining about shilpa taking the p***s out of jo's accent, racism isn't just there to protect ethnic minority culture, it affects us all!!!!!

I certainly don't think it's racist.

Although I DO certainly feel that Shilpa is being unfairly hounded by these chav bitches. Jade for one is showing herself to be the biggest bully in England. She's a disgrace.

On tonights episode she continually talked **** about Shilpa when she left the room, to which her wee cronies just laughed. This seemed to give Jade the energy to give Shilpa the most greif I've seen from anyone in my whole life as an adult. I think Jade should be removed from the house as well as the other girls. They are downright bitches and what they are doing is baiting someone and taking it too far.

WATCH BIG BROTHER. Are you nutts? There has to be something better on TV to watch. But if you make fun of a person because of their culture, their skin color or because of where they come from.......wear the label and wear it proud---racist. I cant believe people are really watching this petty childish stuff. And keeping up with it. I haven't watched it but when I heard Shilpa was on it I was like WHAT? Why? Who ever told her this was good idea should be fired. HELLO she actually has a career. Hollywood has called her the most beautiful woman in the world......ON BIG BROTHER. Girlfriend just pack your bags and leave before you damage your career anymore than you have.

No its not just you

it wouldnt surprise me one bit if the whole row / reports of racism were orchestrated and amplified by Channel 4 & Endemol to boost ratings. After all thats the real reason why Channel 4 recently extended its licensce on Big Brother unitl 2012 (I think). Ther emay have been some people screaming racism.. but it has the smack of a PR stunt to me... first reaction people will watch the program (sell more advertising, people may then phone (more revenue)

I dont know if Shilpa is being mistrated or abused or whatever, laregly because I have no interest in watching this or any other BB related program.

The producers are quite clever in who they select for the program, and the situations they create to bring out the nastyness in people. After they succeeded in getting their first screw on TV, they've gone all out for the wierd, the wacky, the ignorant.

And oddly enough after the row developed the audience for this offal disguised as a TV programme rose by over 25%.....

yes i do think its ridiculous . i also believe that alot of inverted racist remarks are being made . i read one post on here from an asian ladie who was claiming the girls were racist then when on to say one was a scrubber the other a nobody etc etc so are we white english people to now say that she is racist . after all if any of the girls had said shilpa was a scrubber then jeeeez can you imagine . i think its about time a section of the asian community stopped crying racismn everytime someone makes a derogatory comment about someone of asian origin . as if we are all to treat each other equally then we should be able to comment about anyone without fear of being labelled a racsist .

Ahhh Boo Hoo , nothing racial has been said, but if anyone says anything negative or criticises a person that just happens to have a none white skin then they call racial abuse.
I am in no way a racist, my partner is a non white Human being, this has been blown all out of proportion and peoples Innocent none racial comments,
criticisms of a person in the BB house have been misconstrued

Makes me sooooo angry............

If they were all the same colour in the BB house and the situation was exactly the same no one would batter an eyelid.

i think its a shame that shilpa is being excluded by the girls in the house but then again she isnt the 1st housemate to get this treatment but because of her colour people are making it seem worse than it is i dont think its fair they ghave made their minds up about her without giving her a chance and personally i think they should be honoured at meeting such a big star if only it is in india and with people of her nationallity if thats the right word
i also feel sorry for jade for having such an *** hole as a boyfriend she needs to wise up a little

GOOD LUCK SHILPA AND DONT LET RACIST MORONS HOLD YOU DOWN
