I was listening to some music and I yawned, and it sounded like the pitch dropped a couple of steps, I thought somethin was wrong with my speakers but after I was done yawning, it sounded normal again.

Stwange.

it's the air pressure inside your ears. This might be especially common if you've travelled in an airplane recently. Yawning will normalize the pressure inside your ears with the air outside. Sound travels at different speed depending on the air pressure, and the speed of the sound effects the pitch.

Thought about the same question a few days ago haha. Id like to hear an answer too. I know the mouth is connected to the ear. Maybe the air travels through that path pushing out some of the sound.

I suspect that something happened in your inner ear that caused your ear to perceive that the music was different. My guess: your yawn changed the shape of your inner ear, which stimulated the sound receptors or eardrum in a way they aren't usually stimulated. The sound perception system mistakenly perceived the physical movement of your mouth as an air pattern that signalled a different pitch. Something like that.

haha you moron its becuase you are strecthing muclses in ur face abd ears and you can also hear youself yawning so it tunes out a bit of the music
