I hate that show! If I was a contender I would beat the **** out of those judges whether I won the contest or not! Those people are nothing but worthless peices of ****! They are the true low lifes of society! And that one guy isn't even an American? What the hell is he doing on the show? It called AMERICAN IDOL! Not Austrailian Idol or British Idol.

I just hate how they get people on their show knowing that they can't sing! They do it so they can make fun of people! This doesn't do anything but cause people to realize how fun it is to make fun of people! Until you get your *** beat! Then its not so fun anymore! And no! I never was a contender! Nor do I ever want to be! I don't even like that pathetic **** they call music. So I wouldn't want to be there.

They should make sure that people can sing before they are even contenders. Nobody likes to be humiliated. Especially on national televison! I just don't approve of their conduct! I think the real losers are the judges themselves.

Well if he brought it here from England then it should be called something other than American Idol. But then again I guess most of the contenders are indeed Americans. But that doesn't really matter to me. Its just their conduct on the show. The way they treat people.

Well I think Simon needs to take his show: BACK TO ENGLAND! If it keeps going the way it has been; he will have too! Nobody is gonna put up with that forever!

I both love and hate it. It is highly addicting as one starts identifing with contestant they like and root for. It can be intersting, I do like a lot of the singers, but I hate it because it is rigged and all about money and they don't care who gets hurt.

The season Bo Bice got on a lot of information slipped through thier message boards that showed it was rigged..I believe this is why the message board format was changed to make it hard to follow specific posts and find them to kept something at the top for people to see. Each time they are caught they get more savy next time..but I know..so I no longing vote..usually,.

Things like on week five or so that season they had the contestents in the audience sitting in the order they subsequently go voted off in..

putting them in order on the wrap up of the season right before the finale and anyone voted..they flashed each one and had Bo leaving before Carrie before they performed or we voted...showing someone knew she was the winner already..

Prominently featuring Carrie on the album before she was winner and listing list with the songs in order they were kicked off before they were.

A reporter in England doing a story about the producers and naming the winner days before it was over..he mistakenly released story on the wrong date --days before he was supposed to so someone knew the order they'd go off..plus things like the person going home after their best week ever or staying after their worse week..they always have a spoiler. It's just totally rigged. The evidence was overwhelming.

I remember going back 4 weeks or so looking for an old thread I posted and seeing a post of this list that AI released the post was dated and showed the leaving in exactly the order the paper said subsequentlly. I was shocked and answered it which pushed it to the top page and said OMG look at the date --this was posted before they all went off exactly in the order that was released 4 weeks ago. The monitors immediately banned me and removed the thread so noone would know..many complained in messages of being banned for posting evidence.

It convinced me 100% it was rigged and I had luckily printed it all before things got removed and copied it and sent it all to Scott Savol who I had met so maybe he told some of his friends on the tour. It is wrong because people lose confidence or become depressed and even suicidal or blame themselves for singing badly when really it is all preplanned. Also voters are defrauded when they text message and pay for ficticious votes that don't really count..this is fraud.....they put right in the tiny print at the end of show that they reserve the right to not count all the votes,,they don't count them officially to influence anything but they use them to inflate the number of people who called to get top advertising dollars

.if they know a teen or someone calls 500 times, they can act like that is 500 people to add to their 16 million people called or whatever when really it was a lot less yet they may only count one of those 500 votes in the outcome..you can't do both either count all the votes or don't include them in the x number of people called count,

Also it interestintg how they sell and that is the only reason they do it..before it was you like the song so you buy it..now it is you like the singer so you buy anything they do and they sell huge numbers of cds due to wide exposure of the show and then they do tours and merchandise and steal the contracts for who knows how long and for how little..they are crooks essentially.

What they do to people deliberately stressing them out and bringing them to their breaking point, showing them at the worse all for entertainment is sick. They are so mean to people...Simon and Randy is often worse..they are rude and obnoxious and on the message boards it's the same thing..people are downright cruel and mean and devastate the person's family members with the horrible thins they post..Scott's family who were the nicest people in the world told me it was too devastating to read after a while ...or the contestants themselves can get very hurt if they read message board posts

. I also think Paula cheated with that guy who claims she slept with him and should have been kicked off the show for a bad example..I totally believed Cory and Fox mocked him and did their spin on it just like they always do..the station sucks...I am mad I support it but AI and so you think you can dance are the only shows I watch and I wish I wasn't addicted or didn't let myself get addicted. I love it and very much hate it too.

I do agree for the most part - But what you don't understand is that Simon is the creator of the show, he brought it over from England because of its success. It worked well there and it works well here.
You also have to put yourself in there shoes. The creator of the show does want to sign only the best of the show, and then theres someone whom has a record label that's going to give a record label to whom is able to sing and then you have someone with experience to judge. All good choices. Then you expect to see talented people trying to make it, instead you people that just want to get on TV. They must see hundreds and thousands of people. You can not be nice to everyone especially when they came on the show for the wrong reason. Notice how Simon asks very often when someone enters "why are you here?". Plus it adds realism to the show. I truly think hes only telling those who don't have it that they really don't have it. Why sugar coat it?
I still don't like the show but it least they tell it how it is.

I don't really like it, but I think it's an interesting concept. It's just very poorly executed.
Few of the past winners have achieved any real success, I think because they are only singers, not songwriters, and because they don't have their own groups or bands.

I especially don't like the exploitation of the bad singers that goes on during the audition shows. I feel sorry for them, and I don't think anyone who shows up for an audition deserves to be made fun of.

(BTW, the show is based on the original British show, so that may be why one of the judges is British.)

I hate the fact that, up until the final 12, only the judges get to decide whether a person is "talented"... its only 3 people's opinion!!!! But apart from that, I hate the show altogether lol, so annoying and gets kinda old after a few series...

Sounds like you have a chip on your shoulder...are you a rejected contestant?

I have to admit that I have never agreed many of their choices, or the public's for that matter as far as the winners, but it did introduce me and the world to people that might not otherwise had a chance at making in the business that we would root for and have since gone on to be more successful than "Idol" winners.

I do like the show, but since the very first season I've wondered who in Hell thought Paula Abdul had any right to judge another perons singing???

I'm not a big fan of the show myself. You can tell that you hate the show. I have to agree with what you said though. I think it's a glorified karaoke contest.

I like the show. But I think the judges should be people with actual singing talent. Simon and Randy, I have no idea who they are or how they are famous and Paula Abdul...I liked her music, but she has no voice. If you can't sing yourself, who are you to judge others....

I agree. I think it's boring, and all the music they sing to sounds like bad elevator music, or cheesy lounge music. Bores me to tears. The fact that you can manufacture an art like music is sad.

a lot of people try-out because they just want to be on TV , even if it is just for a few minutes and they know that the crazier they act, the more chance they will get TV time....
