I see people using this abbreviation but I'm not sure what it stands for. "Lots of luck" doesn't seem right in context.

Laughing out loud. It's often used when the person doesn't want you to take what they said too seriously. It's easy to type, because the l and o kays are close to each other, which may be one of the reasons you see it used so much.
