This can quickly get into a philosophical debate. For we are a the sum of a calculation.

3 parts are in this calculation.

1. The people we have met.

2. The places we have gone.

3. The things that we have done.

People + Places + Things = Present person

If any of those things were changed we would not be who we are today. Also there is no guarantee we would even be alive. If you look at it from an idyllic point of view you could say that you would , but the truth is, how can you be sure of what you would have turned out to be. I have looked at that situation, and carefully considered the ramifications of changing anything in my life.

Definitely, I would have been more smarter. Experience has taught me a lot and most of all it has made me to be a good parent and good advisor. I regret what I did in my past out of ignorance, I got married too early and thought life would be roses, mistake. If I knew I would have waited, I would have done what I can not do now coz that chance is gone, I would have avoided the mistakes I did unknowingly, I really regret having not known what was ahead of me, but my consolation is, I have learnt a lot in life and now I am able to have a vision for my future and trying all I can to share my bad experiences with others (especially younger generation) so they are able to see if they are making good choices now and not regret tomorrow by saying if only I knew.
Lesson: by sharing other people's experiences, we learn certain things we did not know and we avoid things we would end up regreting. One should learn from other people's experiences and play smart.

Oh yes indeed. I was very naive as a young person--life has taught me some very tough lessons. If I could go back in time I think I would make some really wise choices--and change the mistakes I made.

By the way, Rod Stewart's song about this subject is a really good one.

Yes. Life's experience would have made me make better choices than when I was younger. I didn't have an adult to talk to me about the things that I tell my children to warn them and help them to make good choices and be successful.

No, but I'd know what to invest in then, so I'd be richer now!
