sony walkman w550i software problem?

my sony walkman w550i has developed a software problem that i dont understand. every time i go to load up my game archive it keeps coming up as operation failed. the thing is i have spent around £45 downloading games. what is going on. can i fix this or have i lost all the games from my phone?
